Testimonials

"Dave's class was jam packed with great information. Dave graciously shared many life experiences in the acting world that helped him shape his career. It was a comfortable and welcoming learning experience.I would highly recommend this hands on workshop for new and seasoned actors." Charlene C.

"I had the privilege of taking two of Dave's classes fairly recently and have applied what I learned to land a lead in an industrial video just recently! I found myself having to rely on improv skills and professionalism when my adult co-lead showed up extremely unprepared! I was completely prepared and managed to make a great impression on the producer and director as well as the client! " Olyvia B.

Acting for the Camera Camp
This camp is for the aspiring young ‘actors’ in your household. It is here they will learn real auditioning skills by working with scripts for commercials and film readings. Your child will learn how to personalize characters and follow direction, block for camera on green screen and read with their ‘co-stars’. Voice over will also be introduced. Improvisation an ad-libbing (off the script) will be taught as a basis of making acting choices and trusting their instincts. A huge benefit of this camp is increasing memory, reading skills and confidence. Included in this camp is a take-home tutorial showing you ways to find acting jobs as well as a list of legitimate talent agencies.
Music Video Camp
Do you have an energetic performer in your household? Perhaps an aspiring choreographer or a video camera enthusiast? This program brings together a fun team that will work in unison performing with exciting ‘music videos’. In this camp your child will immerse themselves in music interpretation, creating a story line, developing movement and/or dance routines for their favorite music videos. First, campers start their project with writing the ‘story line’ of that day’s music video. Next, they decide on the ‘set’ (cool locations at the college). Finally, they are ready for choreographing and rehearsing the music video. Several music videos will be created over the course of the week. For camera enthusiasts, they will be planning, setting up/blocking and capturing many cool shots. Campers can take turns in front or behind the camera. This fun cast and crew team will promise a fun-packed day while learning new skills in team building, management and artistic creation.
Sports Broadcasting Camp
Football, Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, the only people without an off season are the sportscasters! If you love sports and want to learn what it’s like to be in front of the camera and in the sports broadcast booth, this camp is for you. Campers will learn how to use their sports knowledge to be a part of the action. Each day the camp will focus on a different sports announcing activity. Campers will learn about announcing for sporting events, how to be a sports reporter for a news show and how to interview athletes. They will also look at sports marketing and make a commercial as their favorite sports athlete!
Dance Video Camp
Do you have an energetic performer in your household often, filming themself? It’s the rage today of filming quick clips of original, cool dance content. Perhaps you have an aspiring choreographer or a camera enthusiast? In this camp your child will immerse themselves in on-camera movement, dancing and choreography. First, campers start their project with writing the ‘storyline’ of that day’s dance clip. Next, they decide, as a team on the ‘set’ (which are cool locations at the college). Green screen backdrops are also used to create any background. This adds creative “reality” to the final edited piece. Several dance clips are created throughout the week.
The camera operator will be setting up/blocking and capturing many cool shots. Campers may take turns in front or behind the camera, as they choose. Directing shots is an added bonus. This unique cast and crew team promises a fun-packed day while learning new skills in team building, management and artistic creation.
