How important is your “Brand” and how do you find it?

 

“Branding” isn’t just important, it’s essential to success as an Actor/Spokesperson or Host.

 

After signing up, we’ll send you some prep work to do prior to the class so that we can get the most out of an information packed 60 minute (approximate length) class!

 

In a fun and utterly engaging Zoom call hosted by Rich Henkels, we will drill into all of the following:

  • The importance of brand and authenticity, 

    • beginners and experienced performers alike need to find, establish and work on their brand

    • How do you see yourself? How do others see you? What do you want others to see?

  • How do you make your brand memorable when you first meet an industry professional, Casting Director, Agent or Manager?

    • it's about how you look, how you are and how you come across

    • Your brand is genuine and authentic

  • How to make your brand apparent when you are auditioning

    • Choices you make

    • Understanding a script and how it impacts presentation of your brand

  • What tools do you need at your disposal to make a professional and lasting impression

    • More than just a "head shot"

 

In this class you'll "perform" right out of the gate. We'll build from that, using immediate feedback on your "authentic" look, demeanor and personality, to strengthen your conviction or help you change course if needed. We will use all the tools provided by Zoom technology to open your eyes and ears to who you are and what your brand may be!

Interactive and fast-paced, this class will help you learn through and with others. And, you’ll help others get their arms around their brand, all of which leads to greater confidence in your own perspective and the making of stronger choices while auditioning!

An Emmy Award-winning broadcaster, Rich Henkels knows well the trail to success in the media, TV, modeling and business world. In a career that spans 35 years, he’s hosted, anchored, produced or contributed to countless TV news, sports, and special programming directly for NBC, CBS, ABC, ESPN and CNN and/or their affiliates. When it comes to the world of casting, Kathy Wickline is nothing short of a Philadelphia institution. With over 25 years of professional experience in the biz, Kathy has truly seen it all. Her passion for helping aspiring talent break into the industry has allowed Kathy to foster the careers of countless young actors. Her resume truly speaks for itself, ranging from hit network programming, feature films, to commercials. She holds over 10,000 credits. 


In addition to working as a casting director, Kathy also spent five years as a top agent in Philly for both actors and models. Today, she uses her vast knowledge and wide network to help young actors find their way in the business. By training actors and models in how to achieve their goals, Kathy hopes to add them to her own talent pool and cast them in future projects.

About This Class

This is a great course for talent just starting out in the industry or for theater talent transitioning to on-camera! 

 

The focus of this class will be on on-camera auditioning skills and acting for commercials and short film (including corporate).  Philadelphia is primarily a market for commercials, corporate and independent films.   

 

Each week, students will work on-camera performing real scripts. Talent will be taught auditioning skills, and how to tap into your own personality to bring each script their own feel.  This course is a lot of fun, and boasts a very supportive setting in a small class environment (capped at 10).

 

Wickline Casting is fortunate to have this stellar instructor to offer such a widely sought and rarely offered course.

Karen Scioli has been a celebrated TV, radio, film and theatre actor for over 30 years, in front and behind the cameras. An Emmy award winning actor for her popular role as channel 3’s late night horror host, Stella from Saturday Night Dead (1984-1990), Karen is also known for her comedy character of Rere DiNucci, the South Philly hairdresser who starred on WOGL’s The Breakfast Club for 7 years and was inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame. Karen was Production Coordinator for the TV show COPS for 2 years (41 shows), and ten years for Curt Crane Productions, a commercial film and video company that produced national commercials. She teaches The Actor’s Journey - Adult Acting Classes currently in Haddon Heights and is the Artistic Director of Encore Senior Theatre Company.

Aspiring young actors will learn the fundamentals of acting at their own level. This class is open to beginners as well as intermediate students.

 

Countless parents have asked KWC to offer a virtual experience so kids can learn at their leisure. This 4 week class will be taught by a renowned instructor with expertise in a variety of acting forms from film and TV  to commercials production.
