I was completely prepared and managed to make a great impression on the producer and director as well as the client! " Olyvia B.

TIME: 6pm - 7:30 pm

About This Class
This 4-session virtual workshop will introduce the beginning actor, or the theater actor who is making the transition to the on-camera industry, to critical techniques required when auditioning in a virtual/self-submit environment or an in-person studio environment.
In the first two sessions, participants will work in front of the camera each session utilizing a variety of scripts from past auditions, to improve their ‘cold-read’ skills while learning how to work with directors and casting directors effectively.
In the last two sessions, participants will learn tricks of top bookers and how to avoid the bad habits that knock an actor out of the running at commercial, tv, or film auditions. In addition, these sessions will focus on topics such as working with difficult directors, maximizing your time in front of clients, managing continuity and camera angles, and improving practices for self-recorded auditions. Participants will also explore deeper character development and more constructive critique as they continue honing their skills to prepare for any professional audition setting. This workshop is jam-packed with valuable information and tools that will prepare the actor for a professional audition setting. While being fun and informative, this workshop also boasts a very supportive setting in a small class environment.
Wickline Casting is fortunate to have this stellar instructor to offer such a widely sought and rarely offered course. Scripts will be distributed in advance of each class. Classes will include short breaks.

New! Professional Spokesperson Workshop
Expand your acting skill set as a professional on-camera spokesperson

You’ll learn how to personalize a script in your unique way while identifying what message needs to be conveyed.

A script will be sent to you to have performance-ready for Week 2
Week 2:
-
Students would have the script prepared and ready for their final presentation.

You will learn blocking for the camera as well as using authentic body movement and gestures for camera. Please have your smart phone or laptop at eye level and framed from the waist up.
This workshop will have you learn quickly on how to present a professional spokesperson self-tape or a virtual audition.
Bonus!
Your final reading will be recorded and shared individually with you via email. This is a valuable learning tool in which to follow your progress.
