About This Class

This is a great course for talent just starting out in the industry or for theater talent transitioning to on-camera!

The focus of this class will be on on-camera auditioning skills and acting for commercials and short film (including corporate).  Philadelphia is primarily a market for commercials, corporate and independent films.

Each week, students will work on-camera performing real scripts. Talent will be taught auditioning skills, and how to tap into your own personality to bring each script their own feel.  This course is a lot of fun, and boasts a very supportive setting in a small class environment (capped at 10).

Your teacher, Joey Perillo, is a professional Union actor with many credits of his own, which include Academy Award-winning feature films and major TV series. Joey is bustling with personality, and is ideal to work with when delving into on-camera acting. Wickline Casting is fortunate to have this stellar instructor to offer such a widely sought and rarely offered course.

New Added Bonus!

The Final Session of each class…

  • Final performance recordings will be shared with Kathy Wickline, Casting Director

  • Additionally, each student will receive individualized written feedback from the teacher on their progress throughout the course

  • Talent will be asked to dress in audition/professional attire

Kathy Wickline is invested in YOUR progress and in the development of actors.

Testimonials

"Joey has taught us so much about the business and made us feel more at ease in front of the camera. Since starting this class, I’ve found a new confidence on auditions and even booked a great job! He gives very constructive critiques of our performances with specifics on how to make them more effective, believable and entertaining. I witnessed even the shyest student break out of their shell with Joey’s guidance. It is obvious that Joey is a great actor and teacher that cares about his students. His hilarious and animated personality kept us captivated and made the class fly by. This was a fantastic class and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get into acting and even to more experienced actors." - Holly Mixon

About This Class

Every actor needs a solid technical basis from which they create characters and performances. In this course you will learn to allow yourself to respond truthfully to any situation. You will find out how to blend that truth with the imaginary circumstances of your character and bring a vibrant performance across on screen. You will learn to develop your imagination so no situation is outside the realm of possibility, and will gain keen insight into your own capacity for truth in a performance. This course is a must for serious actors whose goals are set on film and television.

You want a solid technique? This will give it to you! This class is an incredible first exposure for those new to the training and a valuable fresh perspective for those who've studied the work before.
